Manchester City Upcoming Matches | Men’s and Women’s Football

In 2014, QNET became the Official Direct Selling partner of one of the biggest football clubs in the world. Manchester City has been one of the most successful clubs in the past decade. Back in 2014, most direct sellers were still comprehending the consequences of the partnership.

But over the past decade, it has been one of the most impactful and successful partnerships that have been the harbinger of growth and development in the world. The partnership was extended in 2018. QNET made an extension to become Manchester City women’s team’s first sleeve sponsors.

I have thoroughly enjoyed being a Manchester City fan! From not knowing much about football to becoming an ardent supporter and watching every match. Manchester City has provided me with the joy of football. Much like many other direct sellers who were able to capitalise on the opportunity and support one of the most promising clubs in the world.

Here is an overview of Manchester City upcoming matches. This time it is not just men’s fixtures but also women’s team fixtures. It’s time to mark our calendars for the games!

Manchester City Schedule

Being a City fan, I don’t miss a single game. I usually have my calendar marked with fixtures. However, many City fans might miss games due to the quick turn-around of fixtures. So, to help them stay ahead and perhaps give them a preview, here is a list of all the fixtures that you cannot miss as they are surely going to be the most crucial games in the City schedule.

We’ll first look at the men’s fixtures before moving on to the women’s team fixtures.

Manchester City Upcoming Matches – Men’s Team Fixtures

Kevin De Bruyne celebrating a goal after scoring against a Premier League opposition

Manchester City men’s team have been playing top-class football. They are currently sitting on top of the table. However, they are just one point clear of Liverpool, who’ve matched City in every stride. It is one of the most awaited clashes of the year. Manchester City has made progress to the Champions League Quarter-Finals stages, where they go head-to-head with Atletico Madrid over two legs.

Manchester City v/s Liverpool

Liverpool has been City’s fiercest rivals in recent times. Between the two teams, they have won four Premier League titles. City has been crowned thrice while Liverpool broke their barren run in 2019 with their first Premier League triumph in 30 years.

This clash can have major consequences on the title race. It might as well determine the fate of the Premier League title. This is certainly not a regular 3-pointer. In fact, it is easily a 6-pointer. If City wins the game, they go four clear of Liverpool and put themselves in the driver’s seat to lift the trophy. However, if Liverpool emerges victorious, they overtake City and could have a wind in their sails that would lead them to Premier League glory once again.

When the two teams met earlier in the exciting clash in October, the game finished in a 2-2 draw with amazing performances from both teams.

The first half ended when both sides were level and did not let a single goal past them. But the second half was an absolute contrast, with both the teams upping the tempo. Sadio Mane scored for Liverpool just before the hour-mark. City equalised with the club’s rising star, Phil Foden. It was a great team goal with Gabriel Jesus driving through the Liverpool defence before sliding the ball to Foden. Phil Foden shot the ball past Liverpool keeper Alison to restore parity.

Liverpool got ahead again with one of the goals of the season from Mohammed Salah. It was a great individual effort. City shot back with a sumptuous effort from the club’s mid-field maestro Kevin De Bruyne. De Bruyne has been one of the most consistent performers over the years for City, and he has also been rewarded with accolades for his amazing individual performances.

The match is scheduled for the 10th of April, 2022. I am already pumped for the fixture. Like many City faithful, I will have my fingers crossed, hoping that City is able to beat Liverpool in this all-important fixture.

Fixture date: April 10, 2022

Manchester City v/s Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid has been one of the most successful teams in Europe. They have been consistently challenging for the title every year. The Spanish Champions have been in great form in recent times. They played Manchester United in the Round of 16 with great resilience, especially in the 2nd leg, where they had to withstand constant counterattacks.

This is the first time the two sides are going head-to-head in the competition in recent times. Atletico’s biggest threat comes from its ability to hit teams on counterattacks. However, if City players get into their form and score a few quick goals, there will be no stopping them.

The two sides play against each other on 6th April 2022, with the reverse fixture on 14th of April. This could be a very crucial week as they play back-to-back games against difficult opponents, but City should be able to prevail victorious.

Fixture dates: April 6 and 14, 2022

Manchester City v/s Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves have been one of City’s toughest opponents in recent years. It has been pretty neck and neck in the last five meetings between the two sides. City has won 3 games, while the Wolves have won twice. The recent fixture was also a hard-fought win for City as they relied on Sterling’s penalty to get past the Wolves.

City will need their best players to step up and win the fixture in a battle of the defences. The Match is set to take place on the 16th of April, right after the tough week, which sees them play Atletico twice and Liverpool in the midweek.

I will be rooting for City to win all these fixtures and move forward towards the ultimate glory!

Fixture date: April 16, 2022

Manchester City Upcoming Matches – Women’s Team Fixtures

Manchester City Women win the FA Continental Cup

Moving on to the City women’s team, they have had a solid season and are on course for a strong finish. They had a great start to the campaign with comfortable wins against Tottenham and Everton. However, a few tough games against Arsenal and West Ham saw the Cityzens drop a few places on the table.

A resurgence was inevitable as City rose in great style to contend for the Champions League spots. Now, with the season reaching its conclusion, City faces a few tough fixtures that could determine the campaign’s outcome!

Manchester City v/s West Ham

The last time Manchester City played West Ham United, it was at home in October. It was a match that City dominated with 73% possession and 20 shots during the match. However, due to a few quick breaks and counterattacks, West Ham was able to score against the run of play. They were victorious on the day with a scoreline of 2-0.

This time around, City visit West Ham at their home ground. It isn’t going to be an easy fixture. However, anything short of a victory could dent City’s ambitions of a top-two finish. City’s women’s team will be depending on their star mid-fielder Caroline Weir for inspiration. She has been in great form and could tilt the fixture in City’s favour.

Fixture date: April 2, 2022

Manchester City v/s Leicester City

In the previous fixture in the Women’s Super League between these two sides, Manchester City were clear winners in a match that ended 4-1 in City’s favour. Lauren Hemp, Caroline Weir, Keira Walsh and Laura Coombs were all on target for the Cityzens.

City was in complete control from the Kick-off. They did one better when they faced them in the WSL Cup in 2022. They beat the foxes with a scoreline of 5-0 in a resounding win.

While, City are expected to win the tie comfortably, this game will be no cakewalk. Leicester City is aware that this game is of high importance for both teams. For Man City, it is important because it gives them the advantage to ensure a great finish, resulting in a Champions League qualification, while Leicester would be looking for a win to ensure safety.

This match is surely going to be a blockbuster with both sides going in with great stakes!

Fixture date: April 24, 2022

City has following fixtures against Brighton and Hove Albion and Reading on the final day as they end their campaign. City would expect themselves to win all these fixtures, but they cannot lose focus even in a single. These games can help City finish in the top two, and if the leaders drop points, it can also help them win the title. While it is a tough task at the moment, much like other City fans around the world, I will be cheering for my favourite club.

Manchester City all the way!

The recent Continental Cup triumph was a proud moment for Man City Women’s team. It was their first trophy in the last two years. They have been coming very close to lifting the WSL trophy. However, they have been missing out by a whisker. Man City Women have been amazing and could well be an indispensable force of football in the upcoming years.

Much like the Men’s team, who have established themselves as the indisputable champions of England and are well on course to lift their second consecutive Premier League title.
