2019 Highlights for QNET

2019 has been a year full of ups and downs, it brought joy and sadness all at once. Some good, great news and some not-so-good news. We grew as humankind and found the first ever image of a black hole. Subsequently, we also saw heartless acts like the Pulwama attack and the terror attack of New Zealand. We also saw climate change take a high toll as well as the burning of the lungs of our earth, the Amazon Rain forest.

QNET also went through some rough patches but emerged successfully. QNET has been facing major backlash since 2013, when a lot of unnecessary drama unfolded. Comparatively 2019 has been a good year for QNET as it achieved some milestones when it comes to the cases against it. The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India ruled in favour of QNET and has issued a notice to the Cyberabad Police in Telangana on a contempt plea alleging violation of its orders of ‘no-coercive action’ and arrests of independent representatives of QNET.

On January 25th of this year the hon’ble Supreme court of India gave out an “interim order” that stated – No coercive action against Vihaan Direct selling, the franchise of QNET in India.

On February of 2019, all 31 cases were cleared by the Supreme court and in a major change, the High court of Karnataka directed its Principal Secretary of Food and Civil Supplies department to take suitable action to implement Direct selling guidelines within 4 weeks of order.

In November 2019, QNET had its final hearing in the Hon’ble Supreme Court and the order was ruled in QNET’s favour.

QNET also organized V-Malaysia and it more of a celebration than anything else. QNET marked 21 years in the direct selling business and it was a celebration of a lifetime. Anyone who was present at the V-Malaysia would tell you that it was like a festival of the collaboration of cultures.

Another incident that QNET was proud to present this year was the election of Malou Caluza as the CEO of QNET. She gave a very moving speech in April at V-Malaysia where she said – “Through our products, we advocate a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Through our actions, we provide entrepreneurial opportunities and create leaders.” V-Malaysia is like a carnival for all those who are part of QNET. It refreshes them, revives them, and gives them a rejuvenated spirit to work hard on their businesses.
